Wired Studio is a company based in Copenhagen led by artistic director and choreographer Simone Wierød.

Specializing in the creation of dance performances, choreographic installations, and dance films, Wired Studio is renowned for their visually compelling works. The signature style of Wired Studio contains a meticulous blend of sharp, poetic nuances, an architectural appreciation for lines and geometry, and a strikingly minimalist yet voluminous aesthetic.

Central to Wired Studio's artistic mission is the exploration of how choreography serves as a vehicle to engage with contemporary societal issues. While bodily movement serves as the primary medium, Wired Studio’s works creatively incorporate objects, spatial design, and soundscapes.

Wired Studio’s recent accomplishments have earned them a coveted spot in the Danish Arts Foundation’s developmental program for emerging artists as well as a grant of 3 years operational support from The Danish Art Foundation - recognitions that underscore Wired Studio’s artistic merit and provides invaluable support for the company.

Wired Studio’s recent stage productions include the technologically advanced dance performance Dualities created in collaboration with visual artist Carl Emil Carlsen and featuring complex 3D video projections. Dualities premiered in April 2026 as a co-production with Dansehallerne, and will be touring in the upcoming seasons.

Additionally, Wired Studio is touring the innovative vertical dance performance, Axial Figures, featuring five rope artists navigating a motorized aerial rope scenography. Axial Figures premiered in November 2023 as a co-production with Bora Bora - Dance and Visual Theatre and Dansehallerne and has since been re-staged at Bora Bora and presented at CPH Stage and Horsens Ny Teater.

Currently touring is also the audience-engaging outdoor performance BOXED, which so far has guested 18 platforms in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany and England.

Also noteworthy is the dynamic dance performance Collective Behaviour, a collaboration between Wired Studio and South Korean media artists Kimchi and Chips. Collective Behaviour was re-staged during Aarhus Festival 2025 and is ready for further engagements in the forthcoming seasons.

Additionally, Wired Studio’s award-winning dance films, BEYOND and SOLUS, have toured more than 50 festivals worldwide and continue their journeys in the seasons to come.
